oh happy days. we've arrived in vulcan. in canada. it is an entire town that is dedicated to star trek. i'm actually using the internet terminal that's located inside of a building with more star trek memorabilia than i've ever seen outside of a star trek convention. its not that big, but they've crammed more pictures, plates, cards, and stand ups than any other town. the entire town is themed around star trek. they have pictures on the wall of various characters. its a bit cheesy. ok. its a lot cheesy. but, its the greatest thing we've seen in canada so far... I really hope you have pictures of this. So Rob - you've been to a Star Trek convention? Do people dress like Star Trek characters?
ReplyDeletevulcan seems like a play towards getting some tourism. there's nothing else in this region of alberta so it makes total sense. they have spock days coming up this weekend... which scares me, but considering someone camped out to visit the vulcan visitor center, nothing is too freaky
