well our 4th day on the dempster was a nice one overall. our trek from eagle planes back down to dawson city was an uneventful one. the day looked gloomy at the start, off and on rain made for some slow sections but not too bad. as the day progressed the temps went up, the sun came out, and we were able to see the real beauty of this section of the world. every hill we climbed revealed views of what seemed like hundreds of miles of untouched land. we stopped at one of the three airports on the dempster and we found elk antlers (i think). we took a couple pics and rolled on. today we will head over the "top of the world hwy" on our way to alaska. its 60 miles of dirt and should be pretty easy. this hwy will take us over the boarder and back into the states.
in daswon we ran into a group of guys who are going to make the trek we just did. they are coming from edmonton. i think there is like 8 guys in this group. they have already had three slow speed accidents. as we were talking i was thinking that these guys are in for a real treat on the dempster.
anyway our trip is coming to a close. we hope to have the bikes at the boxing company on friday. this means we will fly home over the weekend.
as always, stand by for more.
