we are done

after more that 5500 miles rob and i have finally completed our journey. we dropped off the bikes with the shipping company just a few hours ago. we have secured our ride from the airport and our flight leaves in just a few mins.

yesterday was a long day. things were looking good so we decided to push through to anchorage rather than stop. this we new would make for a lot of ridding. what we did not know was the pain in ass that would follow. lets just say it involved me running out of gas and rob almost running out of gas. at this point if you have been following along you should assume that is was pissing rain, which it was. dont worry we survived and are stronger for it, i think.

the top of the world hwy was very nice. great pics great views. i highly recommend it. it is a fairly rocky road however. we stopped in a small town called chicken for some food. that was when we decided to make it all the way to anchorage. i believe the pics will sum up the rest of the ride.

anyway this will be my last post for the trip. thank you for reading along. also, i would like to thank two people who made this epic journey possible for me. first my beautiful wife kayleigh. she thought it was a stupid idea from the get go, but still supported me in going. second my brother in law rob, who i consider the brother i never had. through out the trip he demonstrated his leadership skills and even in the most difficult of times kept up a positive attitude. thank you very much, i never could have done a trip like this without you.
